Dr. Urmil Verma is a distinguished Indian educationist, academic administrator, and social contributor with over 38 years of exemplary experience in educational leadership, institutional development, and community empowerment. She currently serves as Executive Trustee of the Cordia Group of Educational Institutes, Sanghol, Punjab, India.
Recognized for her visionary leadership and commitment to inclusive education, Dr. Verma has made significant contributions toward strengthening quality education in rural and semi-urban regions of India. Her work has consistently focused on educational accessibility, women empowerment, skill development, and socially responsible institutional growth.
She is also associated with the Lord Rana Foundation, United Kingdom, contributing actively to educational, humanitarian, and social development initiatives.
She also renders her voluntary services as the Chairperson of the Education Council of the Global Indian Organization (GIO).
Contribution to Education & Social Development
Under Dr. Verma's leadership, the Cordia Group of Educational Institutes has evolved into a prominent centre for education and skill development in rural Punjab, offering programmes ranging from Kindergarten to Postgraduate and professional education across multiple disciplines. A substantial number of students, with more than 60 percent are girls, enrolled under her administration belong to rural and economically weaker sections, particularly young women pursuing higher education and professional careers.
